Training of making Quilts at Kolhapur, Thane and Chembur Centers
Quilts aptly symbolize the warmth of love as these are the fruits of the efforts of the Volunteers of the Foundation who infuse the warmth of love singing the praises of the Lord as they go about making the quilts. The one making the quilt and donating it and the one using it neither know nor ever see each other. The beauty, however, is that there is exchange of love that draws a smile on both the faces that remain anonymous for each other.Volunteers of Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation, who have been making quilts under ‘The Warmth of Love Project’ not only offer warmth but also selfless service in the form of love.
Quilting training programmes are organised on a regular basis by Shree Aniruddha Upasana Foundation both for men and women. The participants are trained in making quilts using old sarees and bedspreads. Considering the conditions in the regions where the quilts are distributed they are stitched and closed on all four sides so that insects do not wriggle into the folds or layers of the quilts.
Recently, volunteers from Shree Aniruddha Upasana Centre Pohale in Kolhapur, Shree Aniruddha Upasana Centre Thane and Chembur participated in making quilts which in turn were distributed among the needy.
